Now, we’re looking for a Systems Administrator to join our London team in Shepherds Bush — someone smart, proactive, and excited about shaping a world-class tech environment from the ground up.
This is a new role — a critical onsite presence that complements an expert US-based IT team within our parent company, Emerald. You’ll be on a This is Beyond contract but report into an IT leader at Emerald, working closely with both their systems and ours. It’s a hybrid, cross-functional support role with serious growth potential — especially for someone who loves learning, automating, and connecting the dots.
Who You Are
To be successful in this role you'll be curious, calm under pressure, and love helping people solve tech problems — from "my Wi-Fi won’t connect" to "can you help me automate this system-wide rollout." You’ll be great at managing your own time, jumping between Mac and Windows, and be looking for more than just reactive ticketing — you'll want to contribute to big-picture improvements and proactive support.
You will need to be comfortable working independently in an onsite environment but know when to ask questions and loop in your wider team. You get excited by new tools, big transitions, and smart solutions — and you’re looking for a place where your skills can grow alongside the business.
What You’ll Do
Set up and support employee workstations and infrastructure in a cross-functional and hybrid office environment
Deploy and support company laptops (both Windows and Mac OS)
Manage Office365 and Azure environments for our UK and EU-based users
Deploy security patches, application patches, configuration changes, and registry updates using RMM/MDM tools to endpoints
Ensure the organisation’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling appropriate security controls
Participate in the change management process
Carry out daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with relevant departments
Maintain antivirus software and ensure coverage across networks
Work independently on service desk tickets with efficiency and clarity
Script administrative tasks for automation (PowerShell a plus)
What You’ll Need:
- A strong customer service mindset — you make tech feel human
- Experience supporting both Windows and Mac OS
- Confidence working with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Familiarity with Office365, Active Directory, EntraID
- Hands-on knowledge of patch management, antivirus, and endpoint detection
- Experience with MDM/RMM tools and virtualisation
- Ability to work independently and manage service tickets end-to-end
- Bonus points for PowerShell scripting and network knowledge
How This Role Is Structured
You’ll be onsite in our London office, providing hands-on support to the team
You’ll report directly into a US-based IT manager within Emerald’s wider team
You’ll have daily check-ins with the broader Emerald IT team and full support behind you
You’ll be on a This is Beyond contract, with all the benefits of being part of our unique culture
Very little on-call required
Occasional travel to the US may be possible but is not expected initially

Position Type: Permanent, with a 4-day working week (onsite) and every Friday as a non-working day as standard.
