Financial Accountant - Fixed Term Contract (3-6 months)

The role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Financial Accountant to join our finance team for an interim assignment. This position will involve account preparation, supporting external audit, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting some day-to-day accounting functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to assist with financial reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and month/year-end close processes.

What you will do:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, and ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support year-end audit account preparation
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Fully Qualified Accounting Accreditation
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Position Type: Fixed Term Contract lasting between 3-6 months starting ASAP. A 4-day working week. Our hybrid model includes 3 days in the office (located in Shepherd's Bush), 1 day working from home, and every Friday as a non-working day as standard.
